The following lists most of the websites I have been involved in. Some sites are not accessible (not yet online, or require password); especially the latest ones, but I will soon be adding a page for each of those with screenshots and an extended description. For each site I supply a short description, detail my own contribution, and give the URL (or explain why no URL is available).
| FT China |
Description: Chinese version of the Financial Times, a major UK daily newspaper specialising in finance. As a first stage this is a somewhat reduced version of FT.com, missing some sections and without the more advanced functionalities such as subscriptions. Tasks: created HTML templates and JavaScript based on original FT.com code. Helped troubleshoot Chinese encoding issues. Extensively involved in browser testing and bugfixing. |
| Danone supplier portal |
Description: an extranet for Danone (world leader in dairy products) to review and accept new raw materials suppliers. It may be extended to accept online bids from those providers, which is why it was built using Quotes 2002 (see below). Tasks: converted Quotes 2002 pages from framed to non-framed pages and changed them to a design supplied by an external company. In-depth involvement in the JSP template system and a few modifications to the back-end. URL: not available as it is an extranet. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| Quotes 2002 |
Description: system for large companies to accept bids and negotiate prices with their suppliers. At the moment there are 2 main negotiation modes: RFQ (request for quotes) and auction. With the work on Danone a third mode will probably be added: RFI (request for information). Tasks: enabled posting of data from multiple frames (using JavaScript), and generally "tidied up" the design and frames. Created sitemap and documented where and when each JSP was being used. URL: not available as it is closed to the public. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| Wotrant |
Description: transport industry web for freight exchange across Europe, bringing together empty lorries and cargo in need of transport. Tasks: worked together with the design team to create a usable and more polished interface. Defined the sitemap, created the HTML and JavaScript, and documented a short heuristic usability analysis. URL: not available as it requires a user account. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| LaCaixa aggregator |
Description: implementation of the GetSee aggregator (see below) for LaCaixa (one of the main high-street banks in Spain). It is a dumbed-down version that only aggregates LaCaixa accounts (company policy). Tasks: changed the interface design to the corporate image and optimised the HTML. URL: not available as it is not yet online. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| GetSee |
Description: bank account aggregator - retrieves account statements from various banks, loans, credit cards and utility bills, and presents them all on the same page. Tasks: optimised the HTML and created the DHTML. Analysed usability flaws. URL: not available as it is closed to the public. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| Lladró retailer portal |
Description: online ordering system for retailers of Lladró products (world leader in hand-painted porcelain figures). Tasks: firstly I assisted in the usability study, interviewing retailers and Lladró staff and creating the sitemap and page wireframes; secondly I edited the HTML so it could be seen properly on non-IE browsers. URL: not available as it is an extranet. Screenshots and extended description will be posted shortly. |
| Óptize |
Description: major online shop for computers and computer equipment in Spain. Tasks: helped in the design and created most of the HTML and JavaScript. URL: www.optize.com |
| FNAC usability study |
Description: France's equivalent of Virgin megastore or HMV. iSOCO created the Spanish site where users can purchase music, books, films and electronic equipment online. Tasks: heuristic usability analysis. URL: www.fnac.es |
| Lavinia |
Description: online shop for Lavinia (Franco-Spanish high quality wine shops). Also sells wine artefacts, spirits and gives in-depth information on wine and food. Tasks: cleaned up DreamWeaver HTML, created JavaScript, helped organising the JSPs for optimal code reuse. URL: www.lavinia.es |
| Pymarket |
Description: site for buying all types of office equipment online. Tasks: supervised design, cleaned DreamWeaver HTML, created JavaScript. URL: major redesign since my involvement www.pymarket.com |
| MaiMai |
Description: classified advertisement site - users can create adverts, search, and save their searches (with daily email updates). Tasks: getting to grips with JSPs, helping to organise JSPs, a few retouches to the HTML. URL: www.maimai.com |
