I am a front-end website developer and consultant with over 3 years professional experience in e-commerce (and a further 2 years of non-professional experience). For over 2 years I have been working in large B2B and B2C projects using Java/JSP: fusing together static HTML code with underlying Java servlets, editing and creating JSPs and helping design their overall architecture. Since returning from Barcelona I have been involved mostly in contract work.

I specialize in hand-coding cross-browser HTML/XHTML, JavaScript/DHTML and CSS, and cleaning/optimising WYSIWYG editor (Dreamweaver) code. This also involves ensuring the design and business model follow usability/accessibility guidelines and work with a wide variety of browser types and versions, operating systems and user settings (such as disabling JavaScript or cookies). I also have over 3 years experience in CGI programming using Python.

I have good knowledge of HTTP, and have worked with various SQL databases and JDBC, Apache web server, various JSP servers, GNU Win-CVS (version control software), and Adobe Photoshop. I have also been in charge of a JavaScript/DHTML repository and support (client sniffing, "smart forms" and dynamic layers) and browser/OS testing, and helped in planning the web development processes.
